The Humane Society of Cozumel Island

BALDWIN

Brought in buy a person who keeps finding a lot of cats around his house. He owns one and cannot have any more, and the outsiders keep eating his cat's food! He brought all outsiders to be neutered/spayed and found homes for them , but he needed our help, so we kept this one. He's in foster care.

BULMA

Found alone crying in a garden, so they brought her to the Humane Society of Cozumel. She looks really serious and waits to see what you'll do. She'll let you scratch her ear and then lets all her weight on your hand: she loves that!

CACI

A man picked him up from the street but can't keep him nor his puppy friend Chrissy (also at the shelter), because they like to chase the chicken in the backyard.

CARAMELO

A lady opened her door and... surprise! A little kitten waiting. She is so sad she can't keep him; loving little kitten.

COLTRANE

Estimated age upon arrival: 2m (born March 2011)

CUCA (foster) & PANCHA

Brought to the Humane Society by a couple that found them in their yard but cannot have pets. Cuca is curious and brave, she likes to greet people and climb on your shoulder to see the world while purring in your ear. Pancha also likes attention, so she'll meaow until you pet her.

PATO

Look at those inquisitive eyes! Pato is a playful kitten that likes to purr at people. He loves to be petted, and he's really curious.

LULU & TOBY (Mom: Megan)

They were abandoned. They lived in a restaurant, but the custumers' complaints led the owners to get rid of them. Megan (1year 5 months old, fawn tabby) had a bad eye that had to be removed (May 20th 2011)

KRILLIN

Krillin came in with his brothers: Goku and Yamcha, already adopted. They were really scared of people, but after some love and care by the Humane Society staff and volunteers, they have become playful purring kittens.

KURO, AKIRA & NEKKO

This fuzzy playful trio received japanese names, Akira means bright/intelligent, Kuro means black, and Nekko means… cat! They are curious, happy kittens. Found and caught outside a house. The wife told her husband not to throw them away just anywhere and to bring them to the shelter instead. The couple is now helping with the TNR program.

ROSHI

One of three kittens brought to the Humane Society to be neutered by a collaborator who frequently finds stray cats. The other two kittens are under his care while he finds suitable homes.

ROMINA & Co. (6 kittens!)

A man brought this mama cat with her newborns, claiming she wasn't his, but she had the kittens in his property.
